Coby TFDVD7751 7-Inch Tablet Portable Dual Screen DVD Player, Black ReviewWe purchased this unit for a road trip with our young children. I couldn't have asked for a better unit. We paid about $140 with fulfillment by Amazon.
It comes with all the cables you'll ever need: A/C adaptor, car adaptor, cassette adaptor (not sure what that's for), cables to connect DVD player to a TV, cable to connect DVD playing unit to the second monitor, two sets of headphones. Also comes with remote control and batteries.
The included cases that hold the units to the back of the front-row headrests were easy to install and work fine. The car cord reaches from the front seat all the way to the outlet in the trunk of my Honda Odyssey, leaving the front outlet available for phone/ipod/gps/etc.
The picture is clear on both screens, and sound from either unit was clear and loud enough even on bumpy roads. Anti-skip technology worked well.
Potential Cons (and I'm really stretching to call them "cons"):
1. You have to unplug, then take the player out of the headrest-mounted holder to change the DVD. I didn't think this was hard to do; I'd get the movie cued up before replacing the unit in its holder.
2. DVD player takes an extra moment or two to skip ahead when you press the >> button. This is relative to a nice DVD player I have in my family room at home. I can't see how this would inconvenience anyone too much. It's a matter of a few seconds, not "forever."
3. Headphones are a strange design, I couldn't figure out how to get them to fit on anyone's head. They do work, we plugged them in just to test them out, but we never intended to use them, so I didn't try too hard to figure out how to make them fit. I'll give Coby the benefit of the doubt and assume they probably do fit on someone's head, somehow. [update: I got a teenager to show me how the headphone goes around the ear. I feel so OLD.]
4. Be careful where you store the screens; like other portable DVD players, they can scratch.
BOTTOM LINE: Just what we needed, high quality video and audio on both screens for a great price! Highly recommend.Coby TFDVD7751 7-Inch Tablet Portable Dual Screen DVD Player, Black Overview

Philips Prestigo SRU6008/27 Universal 8 in 1 Remote Control ReviewI use a Logitech 650 remote for my main TV and wanted a similar type smart remote to use with my set-up upstairs, but less expensive. This Prestigo remote performs similarly to the Logitech, but required a lot more work to get it to function. On the Logitech, when you program the remote it will retrieve the codes for your specific model if available. The Prestigo only wants the maker, the model number is optional, so some of the commands specific to a model may not be available. Also, where Logitech asked what input I was using on my TV during set-up so it could switch to it automatically, the Prestigo did not. So after initial set-up I was not truly happy. But once I started digging around in the software, I found where in the software I could set it up so it would switch to the correct input on start-up. Also, I was able to add functions that were missing from the initial set-up, using the original remotes and learning function. But much of this flexibility in programming is buried in the software where it is difficult to find.
Overall, the remote functions well, but is not for the less technically inclined since initial set-up was not as good as on my Logitech remote. But if you are more technically inclined and willing to explore the software, this remote performed all the functions of my Logitech 650 but for about $20 lessPhilips Prestigo SRU6008/27 Universal 8 in 1 Remote Control OverviewOperate up to 8 different devices using up to 8 separate activities; extensive IR code database for most devices & brands; featuring PHILIPS configo software for intuitive setup & pc or MAC; includes USB cable for syncing; convenient IR learning from another remote; activities to control multiple devices with 1 button press; big illuminated buttons & an easy-to-read 1.5" LCD display increase operability & readability; includes 3 AA batteries

CiragoTV Mini USB Media Player Review

CiragoTV Mini USB Media Player ReviewI just love this device. I also have the Sansa TakeTV that I purchased 2 years ago but I'm giving that away as soon as I find someone to give it to. The CiragoTV Mini is a lot more convenient to use and offers so many features the Sansa doesn't have. With the Sansa you had only the main unit to store video on. Although the dock had a USB port on it, you couldn't plug just any USB storage device into it and play video from there. With the Cirago you have so many storage/media options. Also, it plays not only video but pictures and music as well. It also costs much less than the Sansa. It isn't housed in metal like the Sansa but the build quality is solid.
Performance: This device played everything it said it would play. No glitches at all. Video quality was amazing. My only problem is when I try changing TV types or resolutions it seems to switch to PAL mode. I still need to figure that one out.
Media Support: I only gave it 4 stars for Media Support because it doesn't recognize SDHC cards. Regular SD cards work fine. So if you're thinking of buying a large capacity SDHC card to put video, pictures, or music on, make sure you get one that comes with one of those SDHC readers so you can use the SDHC card through the reader. What's great about the CiragoTV is that you can use any USB storage device - hard drives, flash drives, SD cards, and even card readers that take any of the other memory cards not directly supported on the device.
User Interface: For video playback the remote only has previous and next file buttons. No fast forward or rewind buttons. To ffw or rew the video you need to press an options button then select a button from the on-screen interface. They could've used the left and right buttons since those buttons are not used for anything while playing video. On the other hand, I had a folder with DVD files and while playing around with the device I went into the Files option and when I went into the folder containing the DVD files I found a "Play DVD" option added to the folder. (Its not really there but the device adds that option when it knows the folder contains DVD files.) I clicked that and I was amazed to find the device supported the DVD menus, scene selection, etc. The Next and Prev buttons on the remote now worked with the DVD chapters. Amazing! Now I can copy my DVD collection onto a portable hard drive and have most of my DVD collection with me wherever I go. Parents, I would get this device, put all your kids' DVDs on a hard drive, find a power adapter that plugs into a car lighter socket, then plug the device's AV out into your van's AV input and they'll have enough video to keep them occupied on a cross country road trip! I'll do some research and find a car power supply for this.
Package Contents: The kit includes everything you need (CiragoTV Mini, Manual, power supply, remote with battery, AV cable) but I wish they'd included an HDMI cable since those don't cost much these days. A 3-foot cable would do.
So if you're looking for a solid, portable, versatile media player for home or to take around with you, you can't go wrong with the CiragoTV Mini.CiragoTV Mini USB Media Player OverviewThe CiragoTV Mini is a compact and portable device that bridges the gap between your digital media and your TV. Simply connect your CiragoTV Mini to your TV, plug in a USB storage device or memory card and instantly enjoy your photos, videos and music on your TV from the comfort of your living room. The CiragoTV Mini's compact size and plug and play simplicity allow you to move it easily from room to room, or take it with you when you travel. Bring your digital media to life with the CiragoTV Mini.

2.4g Wireless Handheld Keyboard Mini Wireless Keyboard Touchpad for Htpc New Qwerty Layout with Multi-touch & Scrolling Bar and Multi-language Supporting Black Kp-810-10a ReviewI ordered 2 of these and they are the worst product in this class (wireless minikeyboards) I have seen to date.
(a) The wireless range is incredibly short (~6ft) for both items.
(b) The laser pointer:
(i) The included laser pointer on one item does not work at all.
(ii) For my 2nd item the laser emitter is mounted at an angle which makes the emitted laser beam not aligned with the keyboard; making it VERY difficult to function usefully as a pointer.
(c) These items are supposed to function as a combination keyboard/mouse. After using the device for sometime the keyboard functionality stops and only the mouse functions will work. To fix it one must go to the computer and physically remove the wireless dongle and re-insert it. This is at best ad-hoc functionality for this device.
(d) On top of all the difficulties above, I had to wait 1 month for this product to arrive from HongKong.
Ridiculuous -- avoid this product like the plague.
I have another similar keyboard that does not suffer from any of these shortcomings ZW-5100S. I don't see this product on Amazon.com anymore but it is identical in appearance to the Rii Portable 2.4GHz mini keyboard shown online these days (3/6/2011).

Windows 2000 Xp Vista ,Ce,windows 7 Android Multi-language Supporting Multi-touch and Scrolling Bar Internet Tv Viewing 2.4g Wireless Handheld Keyboard ReviewFor the price, I think this keyboard is worth it. It is hard to find a small, portable keyboard for an HTPC that gets everything right. They are, by design, a compromise of features. This particular one falls short in the placement of the trackpad. Also, the trackpad is either too small or not sensitive enough. We find out selves very frustrated whenever we need to use it. The only other inconvenience is that the natural position of your left index finger seems to randomly block transmission of key presses. Otherwise, this keyboard gets te job done while being small, light and out of the way.Windows 2000 Xp Vista ,Ce,windows 7 Android Multi-language Supporting Multi-touch and Scrolling Bar Internet Tv Viewing 2.4g Wireless Handheld Keyboard Overview

EZ Commander - Trackball PC Remote & Presenter ReviewI cancelled my cable after finding out that I could watch news and shows in HD format for free online, like The Office(NBC), Heroes(NBC), Desperate Housewives(ABC) and The Simpsons(FOX).... you name it. I connected my PC to the big TV and it all looked great. The only thing I hated about it was that I had to run back and forth to my keyboard and mouse to operate it. I was very happy to find EZ Commander.
This PC remote is way more than I expected and I love it. It has two modes - PC and Media modes to choose from. On PC mode you could type in text, do google search...; on Media mode you could operate any PC media players to watch TV shows, movies or online clips. You could switch back and forth between PC and Media Modes with no problems. This little remote control really functions like keyboard+mouse. The EZ Input took me a bit of time to get used to, but it is one of the reasons makes this commander great. You can just sit on your couch and enjoy online contents without getting up.
One more thing to mention is that EZ commander is also a laser pointer. The "Hot Keys" feature makes presentation easy and smart. I am getting one for my aunt who teaches in college. It would be cool for her to use it when teaching large classes.EZ Commander - Trackball PC Remote & Presenter Overview
