Superspeed USB 4-PORT Hub ReviewRunning Win7 Premium x64. Newest NEC drivers for USB 3.0 Buffalo PCIe card. Worked well for less than 24 hours. Connected to two Vantec Nexstar USB 3.0 enclosures. Problems started the next day, one of my drives would disconnect and reconnect every few minutes. Powered down and checked all connections, booted back up and the hub wouldn't recognize either drive connected to it. Moved drives to other ports, but no luck. Removed hub and connected directly to the Buffalo USB 3.0 card and both drives were fine with no connection issues. Hub was connected to UPS and was getting clean power.
Based on the reviews for this hub, I should have avoided it, but Siig extended the warranty from the original 3 to 5 years so I took as chance. I've purchased Siig gear before and this is the first time I've had any problems with their stuff. Not worth the effort. This hub will be returned for refund and I'll purchase a hub that works.
