Ableplant Able Plant NC1000CHA Active Noise Canceling Headphones Top of the Line Product Hifi ReviewOK, checked out a few reviews on this baby and then looked around on the web. A few kept coming up about a hissing sound with the noise-cancelling on. Yes, it hisses - if you're not listening to music etc and are trying to block out the noise (as I wanted to use it for) but when you are actually tuned into the music etc, then the sound is very good and all encompasing.Was it what I wanted? Not really - as I was hooked onto the noise-cancelling bit and dreaming of tuning the world out as I travelled on planes etc - without tunes, however, if you are looking for a half decent pair of headphones for your tunes or movies, then this model is the ticket.
Anything else to look out for? Have noticed that the headphones are affected by the wireless modem if I am too close to it, begins to make 'popping' sounds. But again - I don't want to put people off if they are looking for a solid sound for their tunes. I cranked it up on a MP3 and was impressed.
I have noticed with the Bose headphones that once you put them on, you can't hear anything with the noise cancelling on - not the case with the Able planets.
